Please look at this image. This “stall” belongs to a Dealer who exhibited at London Expo this weekend.

Images look familiar? They should. They’re all STOLEN.

This guy claims to be the “genius” behind these works of art. Truth is, the majority, if not ALL of them, have been swiped from deviantART, printed on canvas and sold WITHOUT PERMISSION.

This guy is a fraud, a plagiarist, a thief and liar. Why is he even allowed to exhibit at London Expo.

We all need to gather proof that this guy isn’t all he claims to be. If you recognise ANY of these images. PLEASE SHARE OR COMMENT BELOW. A lot of these works are by American artists. We need to inform them and put a stop to this.

Please, please share and let a team of us put this right. We need to gather a lot of solid evidence to get this guy thrown out.

He didn’t have any business cards (no surprises there) but he’s exhibited and sold at London Expo many, many times.

I intend to write a deviantART journal about this and spread the word myself. It would help greatly if you could share your photos here too and we can pool all our evidence in one place and compare photos.

Signal boosting because my only issue with expo is that comic village is run as such a tight ship, with fanart and art theft cracked down on so massively hard that it barely exists at all any more - then as soon as you walk out of the amateur area and into the ‘professional’ dealers areas, its full of so much stolen and counterfeit artwork and goods. Disgusting.

I don’t recognise any of the pieces myself but if anyone else does, please reblog with information to help.

This is sick and wrong. I walked past this guy while I was taking a break from my comic village table and KNEW there was something fishy! Help the cause against illegal copyrighted image theft. For goodness sake.

Goodness me, the weather is absolutely beautiful, for once my room is nice and warm and lovely to work in. But my dad came downstairs today and said “I’ve made an executive decision. TODAY IS A SHORTS DAY” “NO DAD NO” “TOO LATE”.

Cafe Suada Cup 2 is finally in my hands! There was a bit of a delay in them getting to me but Inkylittlefingers have done a top notch job printing them as usual. The colours have come out spot on and I cannot wait to show you all!

Come along to the London MCM Expo this weekend and you can get your hands on a copy. I’ve included a snap of one of the later pages to whet your appetites ;D If you buy the book you get to read the rest of the chapter before it goes up online, good eh?

Illustration I did earlier in the week, based on Vera Lynn’s “There’ll Always be an England”. Beautiful song, I decided to allude to the lyrics about small cottages in the countryside and the meaning of the flag to it’s people. It’s very much influenced by the old British Railway posters advertising weekend getaways, because I plain love those old posters so much.

Flyer I whipped up for I Love Bletchley day tomorrow, a free local thing I have a stall at where I’ll be doing portraits etc. If you or anyone you know are in the Milton Keynes area, come down for the day! Lots of local businesses are taking part.

Also this illustration is a promo for Cup 3! So a lot of text is omitted from this version for spoilery reasons. As soon as Cup 2 is almost over I’ll release the text heavy version with the chapter title and blurb for Cup 3 - but in the meantime I hope you like the illustration itself :)

Down To Earth

“She looked like any other girl, dressed like any other girl, but… I had to look up to simply make eye contact with her. She was… standing on the ceiling!”

During the spring I was asked to create a ‘work in progress’ for my creative writing portfolio; a scrapbook of planning and a final piece of around 2500 words. So, along with my scrapbook, a produced a 10,000 word script, 4 full colour comic pages and part of a visual novel. This is Down to Earth.

The story is about Werner, a fresh intern at the British Space Science Institute, whose first role is to observe a very important subject. To his surprise, it turns out, as you can see, to be a 18 year old girl who is stuck on the ceiling, along with everything she touches. Suddenly the careful, withdrawn Werner finds himself trying to solve the mysteries of physics and his own mind as the free-spirited Auna makes him raise questions he never thought he’d ask.

With the visual impact of a girl walking on the seen, I knew that this’d be great as a comic, though I had to fight my tutors and time for it. Luckily, the wonderful Jade Sarson nailed the pages despite everything! I can’t thank her enough for the effort she put into the pages (these 4 taking place at the end of the story) and the visual novel!

Yeah, programming that proved to be really fun, and it turned out great! Take a peek:

At the moment the future of the story is in limbo, but I can assure you that I’ve become extremely attached to it. I hope one day that I can truly share it with everyone.

Ahh finally we’re allowed to show this! I had so much fun working on these pages but I was knackered considering I had to pull an all nighter right before his hand in deadline =A= The story is so great though, and was a challenge for me as a comic artist! I had oodles of fun designing the room and sprites for the visual novel, too.

So yesterday I went along to Comica Comiket, and it was such a great day. Many thanks to Paul Gravett and Peter Stanbury for once again running the event. I was sharing with the lovely Lily Rose Beardshaw and Sammy Borras from Inspired Comics. Check out our table^!

In one of the photos you can see our table neighbour Howard Hardiman (The Lengths), and above my head is John Allison (Bad Machinery) who was on the table behind us. Was lovely to meet John, he’d given me some really helpful advice earlier in the year so it was great to thank him in person. It was also hilarious seeing him try to sell a spare duck wrap to people in the afternoon XD (EDIT: Also forgot to mention that Marc Ellerby and Adam Cadwell were opposite us, and I was staring very longingly at the Chloe Noonan tote bags all day.)

The event was absolutely packed, so much that I felt slightly trapped behind my table all day, but I did manage to dive out for a bit to say hello to people. Was good to see Rebecca and Sarah Burgess, who always light up my day, and their Forever12 accomplices Laura Watton, Chloe Citrine, Fred O’Rourke, Chris Bottoms, Anaseed-man, Evelyn Hewett and Gillian Ha.

Throughout the day I watched the remaining Cafe Suada books disappear, and worked on the cover of Cup 2, as well as the plot for Cup 3. I was pretty productive! All because I announced yesterday my intentions to release Cup 2 at the London MCM Expo this May. GET EXCITED, SAVE YOUR PENNIES, CAUSE IT’S A COMIN’ YOUR WAY!

Also as promised yesterday, Cafe Suada updated last night! Off you go!
