We got the photos back from the Japanese embassy this week. Check us out in all our third place gloryyyy~!

Thanks again to the Japanese embassy for running the Manga Jiman competition, and for everyone who cheered us on. It was a fantastic event. If you’re interested in seeing the comics that won this year, they’re online here: http://www.myebook.com/Manga_Jiman/ and they’re on display at the embassy until the end of February I believe, so go check ‘em out.

Holy shit, the Manga Jiman exhibition/awards ceremony is tomorrow.

I’ll see the rest of you lovely people there once I’m done freaking out, shall I?

Quick portrait drawn today of myself and Dean, it’s to go in the Manga Jiman exhibition at the Japanese embassy with our 7 page hairdressing comic “Shear Brilliance”. The exhibition opens in February!
And on a side note, yesterday I finished the 6 page preview comic of my larger project “Siddown”. Will be putting up some previews of it (and the other comics from our upcoming anthology) to entice you all very soon~!

Shitty felt pen doodles but productive nonetheless: Quick sketches to get a feel for the main characters of my submission for this years Manga Jiman, from a script written by Dean McKnight. It’s funny, the boy’s body kind of grew out of one of the doodles of his head - I love it when that happens.

Need to crack on with this, the deadline’s November 1st!
